Kirk Guillory has enjoyed serving as a creative and budget-conscious project designer and project manager for a broad range of clients since becoming licensed as an architect in the state of Texas in 1986. Since 1990, Kirk has provided services as a licensed architect in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Project services include exterior and interior building design and illustration, code analysis and building permitting, permit expediting and construction management services for owners and developers.
Familiar building types within his resume include churches, private and public schools, recreation and athletic buildings, shopping centers, museum alterations, as well as single-family homes and multi-family residential buildings.
On occasion, Kirk provides peer reviews of design drawings and specifications and travels professionally to U.S. Embassy construction sites in Africa, Central America and the Middle East, providing building construction inspections as a consultant of the U.S. government.
Mr. Guillory was called to the profession of architecture at the age of 13 and formally trained at both Texas Tech University and the University of Illinois Schools of Architecture including the receipt of specialized training through executing academic projects in southeast China and within the Chicago Loop in Illinois.
He has been married to a music educator and former concert violinist since 1992. Kirk and his wife share office and music studio space within their Laurel, Maryland home, along with their three daughters, who were each classically-trained as musicians and home-schooled by their mother. Kirk volunteers as an instructor of architectural design at his youngest daughter’s home-school academy in Columbia, Maryland.
Mr. Guillory started G-Force Architects and G-Force Consulting in 2016, with the names of both companies inspired by his father’s 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.
